Location

  •  On Womacks Rd across from the Abbey Centre, an excellent aquatic and recreation facility.
  • Directions from HWY 2
    • Go east on HWY 597 from HWY 2 at exit 412
    • Turn left (North)on Vista Trail (the first light) and go about 1km
    • Turn right (east) on Womacks Rd. The skatepark in about 200m on your right
  • Parking lots are available on the east and west ends of the skatepark
  • Pizza Hut in the strip mall beside the park.

Features

  • Opened July 5, 2013
  • Alberta’s only public, concrete pool style bowl, 6 – 9 feet deep with pool coping
  • Flow bowl: 5-8 feet deep with a cradle, a roll-in, a curved escalating extension, and a tombstone.
  • Street section includes a number of hips, ledges, rails, stair sets, and a long slappie bank wall

  • Address: 6391 76 St Red Deer
  • Directions:
    • From the south, drive northbound on Taylor Drive, turn right on 76 St
    • From the north: drive southbound on Taylor Rive to the lights at 75 St. Turn left onto 75 St. then left again on 59 Ave
    • From the east and west: best to access from Taylor drive north or southbound.
  • Some on-street parking, adjacent parking lot, and plenty of space in the Glendale school parking lot when school is not in.
  • Adjacent to the Northside Community Centre (YMCA)

Features

  • Huge 35000 sq ft park is one of the biggest in BC and includes a massive street course.
  • Vic West features a wide variety of street obstacles including rails of different sizes, stairs, ledges, a plaza section, many transition elements and a 7′ capsule bowl with entry.
  • The west end of the skatepark was updated and modernized in 2016.

  • At 250 Esquimalt Rd Esquimalt Road east of Catherine Street in Victoria West Park
  • Parking available off Bay Street at the Lawn Bowling club, or off Wilson St.

Location

  • In Chinook Winds Park in south west Airdrie.
  • Turn south from Yankee Valley Blvd. onto Big Hill SPrings Road at the W H Coxford High School (on your left). Continue southbound, the skatepark is on your right at the top of the hill. A parking lot is right beside the skatepark.

Millennium Park Skatepark Location

      • West end of downtown; between 6th and 9th Avenues west of 11th street; west of the former Science centre and Mewata.
      • From CTrain: Walk/skate west on 7th Ave, across 11 St., through the former Science Centre parkade to the skatepark
      • From West: drive eastbound on Bow Trail / 9 Ave; turn left on 11 St. then left into the parking lot beside Mewata. This is a pay parking lot. Walk / skate across the park past the fountain to the skatepark. There is also a parking lot on the north end of the skatepark, accessible farther north on 11 St.
      • From the East: Go west on 6 Ave, stay in the left lane, enter the parking lot just west of the lights on 11St.  You can also turn left (south) on 11 St, and park in the lot at the south end of Mewata (the old brick building that may have soldiers coming and going)
