Riverview is the main indoor park for the Maritime Provinces. 16 years in operation with Surface Skateshop also located on-site.
Wooden structures, concrete stairs, with a mix of masonite and skatelite surfacing. Pricing (summer 2020) is amazing at $5 with $5 rental helmets available. Also provides free loaner boards for new skaters. Amazing skate programs provided by East Coast Street Styles the park’s private managing agency. Skateboards and rollerblades/skates only. No scooters.

From the north, south, or east you can enter the Westside Rec Centre parking lot off of 69 St. If coming from the west there is an entrance east of 69 St. on 17 Ave. The skatepark is right on the corner and can be seen from the street.
The SBC restaurant, in the building that formerly housed the Smilin’ Buddha Cabaret, mixes good food, music, and skateboarding. In addition to enjoying a coffee, smoothie, or bowl of chili, visitors can session the largest indoor ramp in BC. SBC also stocks boards, trucks, wheels, helmets, and pads to meet your skateboarding needs as well.
The Compound is an indoor training facility for the Riders on Board Snowboard Club. They use skateboarding as a cross-training activity for their snowboarders’ training program. Riders on Board opens The Compound to the public for drop in skate sessions for specific limited hours. Check their website for hours and waiver before going!
